On the other hand, if you prefer your entertainment a little less adrenalin-pumping, why not hit the shops for some retail therapy? Town centre shoppers can visit Nicholsons Shopping Centre for their High Street brand fix. The Bishop Centre Shopping Village on the outskirts of the town also offers High Street brands but boasts local merchants too.

Regularly stay here even if the rooms are a little dated, its a handy and pretty central for commuting in or out of London. [Less]
First time in London
By Ben10
As this was my first time overseas, this was the perfect place that met all of my needs. It's location made it easy to access many of the big tourist destinations, but far enough away to feel less [More] like a tourist. Additionally, it is located on the Piccadilly Line, which is the same Tube that runs to LHR, and within walking distance to train stations. [Less]

Great perks!

The hotel gave us additional benefits because we were long staying guests. The room was small but the beds are nice to sleep in. And there is AC, a must for us. Though London is cold and doesn't [More] really need AC, we need controlled temperature. And the location is great! There's a bus stop very very near the hotel. [Less]

I had low expectations staying in a Holiday Inn..... how wrong can one be.... the staff excellent, the rooms very clean, was not expecting a great night sleep due to the fact that we are in Gatwick/ [More] Heathrow flight path...however once in bed there was no noise at all. The food was very good. Breakfast good. Loved watching the canal boats go though the locks. My advice try it out. [Less]
