Black Hair in non functional Jacuzzi
By Klaus22
Was upgraded to a nice room but was rather disgusted by the black hair that I found in the Jacuzzi. After cleaning those the Jacuzzi also did not function. I was never advised of it and when [More] mentioning this to the staff I did not even receive an apology. The spa in the basement is quite nice, albeit might be little small if many people visit it at the same time. Also there the showers were not easy to use and a lot of water was wasted because it was very hard for many people to switch of the showers. Breakfast was ok, but unfortunately Cappucino was only available for a surcharge and tables were not cleared for a long time on a quiet Sunday morning. [Less]

This hotel is a brilliant place to stay. You feel relaxed because the hotel runs so smoothly with the employees and management are just as friendly. We fully recommend this Hotel in Battersea [Less]
Good hotel, out of the way location
By voyage34
I'd not stayed at this particular Crowne Plaza before so decided to check it out on a recent leisure trip to London. First impression was that it's quite a long and mildly inconvenient distance from [More] the centre of London (although it is handy if you're arriving by helicopter!) and isn't in an especially salubrious part of town (wedged as it is between the river and a large car dealership). Check-in was swift and efficient and very corporate (pleasant but slightly robotic). My platinum membership was recognized with an offer of free points but I was disappointed not to be offered a room upgrade despite better rooms being available (I checked). This should not be something one has to ask for if the availability is there. The room I did get was very nice with some interesting modern touches (touch sensitive lighting system, heated bathroom floor etc.) and it was pleasing to note that the windows are glazed to the point where the helicopters landing right outside were barely audible. This did however mean that the room was very warm and the air-conditioning struggled to cope with even a small decrease in temperature. The bed was sensational - extremely comfortable and big enough to lose yourself in :-) The only real downside to the hotel is that fact that it is so far away from anything. This is slightly remedied by the complimentary shuttle service to Clapham Junction station but that's just hourly and otherwise you are looking at a good 30 minutes with a multi-part trip to get to the centre of town. Aside from that I found this to be a nice, business orientated hotel with decent rooms and efficient staff. [Less]
Excellent Hotel
By RoyB13
Needed a hotel near to the site I was working at and near to the London tube. This had both. In fact any nearer to North Acton station, it would be on the track, but no train noise thanks to plenty [More] of glazing! The ground floor especially has a very new and fresh feel with modern decorations, tables and chairs. Virtually every table has a power socket with USB charging facility and offering free fast internet. Staff were very polite and overall, for a hotel not costing stupid money - exceptional! Even near enough to stay if visiting central London. Only slight negative was the evening meal menu was very restrictive. A few more dishes would be helpful and for breakfast should include muesli (Alpen)! Highly recommended. [Less]
Quiet and clean for January visit
By 912amc
Hotel seemed pretty quiet for this January visit with breakfast area not too busy. Room quiet even though on first fllor adjacent to North Acton tube station. Room also clean with reasonably good [More] black-out curtains. Only real issue was variability in water temperature in the shower but variations were brief. [Less]

Lovely hotel as always at Holiday Inns
My stay at this hotel was to save travelling 40 miles every day to see my husband in hospital. The welcoming staff and the comfortable room made a difficult time much easier. We usually stay [More] together for short breaks and have found Holiday Inns to be our favourite hotel group . I ate dinner in the restaurant on my own and the kind, attentive staff made me very comfortable. The food was delicious (I felt sorry for my husband having to make do with the hospital's menu ) [Less]
