Stayed for two nights here, and was able to use up some points at a good rate.
Very clean and comfortable.
The service was friendly and efficient.
Given how close the planes were, it was
remarkably quiet in the bedroom. I found the bed comfortable, but some might find it too firm - maybe a soft topper would help? The air conditioning was a bit noisy and without it the room got a bit warm.
The hot water took a while to reach the taps in the bathroom - maybe something to look at for the next refurbishment?
The food was much better than in other Holiday Inns that I have tried, where it varies from OK to bad. This was well-cooked, nicely presented and reasonable value. The range of soft drinks was a bit limited, but the staff found me some breakfast juice to go with dinner.
The Heathrow Hoppa was a bit infrequent, and when we left, it did not show up and we had to wait over 30 mins. Local buses stop outside the door. I think if I stay there again, if I am not driving, I would ask the hotel to fix a taxi. [Less]
