Our stay was following a hospital procedure, before our 2 hour journey home the following day. We needed peace and quiet, calm, comfort, relaxing environment, attention where necessary, no hassle and[More] decent on site catering. Apart from a very slight delay in clarifying our bill on departure we had all of those things and were totally happy with our stay.[Less]
Clean, met expectations. Just the little things that let it down
Very clean room, warm, safe, everything you'd want it to be. Breakfast was first class and would highly recommend.
Staff were very helpful, apologetic is something wasn't right, and would do[More] their best to help if asked.
Car parking is abysmal - just not enough spaces for guests and the spaces are small even when you don't have a big car.
Check in queue was long, and with only two staff on at peak time was diappointing. The area doesn't lend itself to lots of people queuing for long periods as it is right between the bar area and the dining area (and not helped by a huge post right in the middle).
Was given a twin room, but this wasn't made clear at check in. Not really an issue but would have been nice to know beforehand.
The pillow that had "firm" strapped to it never was, or has been firm (on either bed).
NO FREE WIFI!!!!! - Come on Holiday Inn, please! In this day and age....![Less]

Ideal hotel for this location
By Jon T.
This is a clean, comfortable hotel at a good rate with car parking at a reasonable charge. Unlikely to be bettered if you want to stay in this area. Close to Newbury Park station on the Central Line.[Less]
ideally situated to travel to central London
We stay often at this hotel and have always enjoyed our visit. The standard is high and the staff are most welcoming and courteous. The train station is only minutes away and provides an excellent[More] service to and from London.[Less]

WE stayed in the suite, excellent room and very quiet and furnished to a high standard.
shops and town centre nearby.[Less]
Good location but....
This hotel is a great location for a business stop over. Room and bed was very comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. The only draw back was the room location which was fairly close to a not[More] so busy road but the noise insulation was poor and as a light sleeper a broken nights sleep.[Less]
A special airport Hotel
A warm welcome awaits you at this large hotel. A friendly smile and a desire to make your stay enjoyable is clearly apparent. Despite its size as an airport hotel, it is impressive that returning[More] customers are recognised.
The new bar is well furnished and the restaurant provides a high quality and not expensive meal. The Club lounge is haven of peace with a lovely touch of canapés and drinks for members in the evening. Here you can undertake all your business in the small and discreet business centre or enjoy the comfort of your lounge chair with a drink.
Rooms are generously sized with a lovely bathroom. The beds are large and comfortable. The bathroom is large with a separate large shower. The rooms are immaculate in their cleanliness and housekeeping clearly pay attention to every detail.
Very conveniently situated for the airport and the centre of Crawley and just off the A23, the Crowne Plaza allows easy access to major routes. A very regular airport bus is available just across the road. There is ample parking.
So often airport hotels seem impersonal and unfriendly. The staff here always ensure this is never the case here.[Less]
