As lovely as the hotel was, we were welcomed by Keith on reception. To start with he could not find my booking, he also lacked confidence and customer social skills. I wasn't welcomed has an IHG
guest, he also then told us that we had to wait to be booked in as it was only 13:15 and check in was 2pm. That was understandable I had no problem with that.
When checking us in, it felt like he wasn't interested in his job, he was just doing the step by step jobs of what he should say and do and then just gave us the keys for our room and walked away. Not even a 'Have a nice stay'.
On check out when wanted to leave our bags in the luggage hold, which is a good facility you offer. But they didn't even have any tags for our bags. Keith and another college spent atleast 10/15 minutes looking for tags for our bags, and eventually gave up and wrapped up a leaflet and wrote on that, which was abit unprofessional.
Other than that we were happy with the room and the hotel, but definitely need to re assess the skills of the employee's put onto the front desk. [Less]
