Featured Houston Hotels

Houston is the largest city in Texas and fourth largest city in the United States. Due to its sprawling layout and unconventional city planning, it's not considered a major tourist destination.
However, guests of Houston hotels will find the city has plenty to offer - a revitalized downtown area with new light rail transportation, professional athletics clubs, a stellar performing arts scene and no shortage of family friendly activities.

Houston is one of five cities with resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines (opera, ballet, music and theater), and guests staying in our downtown Houston hotels will enjoy our proximity to the Houston Theatre District.
A short walk or Metro ride away is the Houston Museum District.
Here, you'll find the Houston Zoo, Contemporary Arts Museum, Holocaust Museum and famed Menil Collection. If you only have time for one museum during your Houston hotel stay, we recommend the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
This airy and modern complex boasts great Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Renaissance pieces and an outdoor sculpture garden by famed Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi.

If you prefer major sports to masterpieces, head to Reliant Park, Houston's premier sports, entertainment and convention complex.
Depending on the season, you can watch the Astros play on their home turf or catch your favorite band in concert.

Houston also offers a wide variety of attractions the whole family can enjoy, including the downtown Aquarium, Houston Zoo and Six Flags Splashdown.
The Houston Space Center is collaboration between NASA and Disney's Imagineering team and well worth the 30-minute drive from the city center.
Tour the world's best collection of spacesuits in Astronaut Gallery, experience life aboard a space station, or head to Blast Off Theatre to simulate a NASA rocket launch.

Who said Houston wasn't much of a tourist town?
With all these great attractions and entertainment venues, the hardest part might be deciding where you want to be and which of our great Holiday Inn Express hotels in Houston to choose.

Stayed here while working at Pasadena convention center
By bethshebas
I chose to stay at this Holiday Inn while working a show at Pasadena Convention Center because I wanted a fun working vacation. It is a lovely drive via Red Bluff and HWY 146, only 20 minutes [More] away. This hotel does not offer a free breakfast but they do have a "breakfast in bed "option where you order breakfast and put a placard on your door the night before. I had the eggs and bacon breakfast. It arrived on time and was hot and delicious. This hotel is close to the boardwalk and lots of fun places to eat and drink within walking distance. After a long day at work Saturday, I chose to have a quiet dinner at the Sideliners restaurant inside the hotel. I enjoyed the Whiskey sirloin with green beans. When I ordered the green beans I expected canned green beans but to my delight, I was served fresh green beans. They were cooked to perfection However they were so tough I could not eat them. I do not believe this is the chef's fault but a fault of inferior produce. Overall I truly enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn. I felt safe here. I will choose this hotel again next time I have to work Pasadena Convention Center or before my next cruise. [Less]

we have stayed here before, and the service has always been great.the breakfast items are probably average for a quick, hotel type breakfast. the parking lot is well lit. and the landscaping is [More] nicely kept even after the hurricane for our last stay. the only real complaint is the sign is hard to see if you're driving in traffic and don't have a gps in your vehicle. once we found it, it is very easy to find however. all in all, a very nice place to stay. I was a long way from home where The staff and leadership (Back office staff and directors) at this location made me feel at home. I experienced first hand the unity in the rebuilding process of [More] this community through the staff while working Hurricane Harvey and I want to thank you for hashing me. My next time in the area I will be sure to return. I look forward to seeing all of the upgrades when complete. Thank you too house keeping for keeping my place clean... just the way my grandmother did daily in my youth I truly appreciate meeting you all. The repair men included. [Less]
