Located on the South of the River Thames within Inner London, the Borough of Wandsworth includes the areas of Battersea, Putney, Streatham and Tooting. Many famous landmarks in the borough include the wonderful but now decommissioned Battersea Power Station, Battersea Park with its stunning pagoda, parts of Clapham Common which is shared with Lambeth and the bridges linking the Borough to the north of the river Thames. Young's Brewery is the oldest brewing site in Britain although nowadays it is no longer a functioning brewery.

Getting to and from Wandsworth is a piece of cake. Excellent transport links throughout the capital see to that. The Borough is well linked by London buses and the Underground. Wandsworth also contains Britain's busiest train station - Clapham Junction, through which more trains pass than anywhere else in Britain. Its location is also ideal for those travelling to London's two biggest airports.

As in any London Borough, there is a wealth of cultural activity in Wandsworth. Battersea Arts centre has been described as Britain's most influential theatre and if you experience one of their many fine theatrical performances, you will soon find out why. Gastronomes will love Chez Bruce, the borough's stand-out restaurant.

Shoppers need look no further than Southside Wandsworth shopping centre with lots of your high-street regulars as well as a 14 screen cinema and many places to grab a bite to eat. If you can't find it in Southside, then you'll definitely find it on Wandsworth High Street, another great place to shop.

If you really want to get the most out of your stay in London, spend a night or two at one of our Wandsworth hotels and you will be ready to get stuck into the city.

Hammerman

This is without a doubt the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at and was chosen for its proximity to the O2 and the Greenwich Peninsula, but it was a special occasion for myself and my wife, going [More] to see Disturbed at the O2,as well as our first weekend away together in 5 years, and we were blown away from the second the taxi dropped us outside the hotel..The greeting we got from Graham and the treatment we received from all the staff was second to none, and when we were shown to our room and saw the view from our window we were hooked. We have now booked up again for 2 nights at the end of May,going to watch iron maiden next door at the O2 arena, which is accessed through your own private walkway...remarkable,and makes you feel so special,as did every member of staff we had the pleasure to meet. If you have never visited this part of South London, and want a weekend to remember..stay at this hotel, you will not be disappointed,in fact myself and my wife actually feel, after just one stay so far,it's our second home..cannot wait to have more nights there..book it now. Lovely hotel

Would highly recommend this hotel when visiting the O2 Arena and Greenwich area. Really enjoyed relaxing in the bars and restaurants with full height glazing giving views across the Thames. [Less]
Good location, clean and good staff
By Oldmisstreacle
A great place between Victoria and Pimlico stations. We paid a very reasonable price. The mattress was not brilliant and the pillows horrible. The room at the front was very noisy Eggs and [More] sausages at breakfast were good but that was all that was offered as a cooked choice. The fruit salad was tinned on one morning, very 1970s! The typical hotel toaster is always set wrong; run it through once and you get warm bread, run it through a second time and it burns! They did not have it set properly for the bread that they offered. The staff were friendly and the [Less]
Good hotel of it's class
By Regular traveller 65
My second stay at this hotel. Conveniently situated with friendly staff. The room I had was on the 4th floor and so I was not troubled by traffic noise with the window open. As I live in a city [More] this would not be a problem anyway! Very comfortable bedding. If I had been staying longer the complementary phone for local use would have been a great advantage, something IHG should introduce to all their hotels. Highly recommend for economic stay [Less]

Wecome to Swiss Cottage
By Les B
The Holiday Inn express at Swiss Cottage is made by the people who work there. The hotel itself if good but the furniture etc is getting a little tired. However, the fantastic people who work at [More] the hotel make it the best place to stay in London. I would not only single out the reception people. but also the cleaners, the dinner lady (Isabel), the breakfast staff and guys like Josh who work behind the scenes. I have stayed at may hotels. But I have never stayed anywhere else where all of the people who work there are so committed to offering a great service to the customer. Thanks to them all. [Less]

Nice hotel and excellent staff. Would stay again. Good location. [Less]
Amazing staff!
By Flobama
We had a group of three families from the USA staying here. The front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Vanessa took personal charge of our group and made sure that we had [More] everything we needed for an amazing nine days in London. Everyone there was friendly and helpful from housekeeping to the breakfast attendants to the front desk. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was perhaps the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Would definitely stay here again. [Less]
