Gaze at eye-catching modern art at the Serpentine Galleries, where admission is free.

Just seven minutes away by Tube, this lavish, bustling department store has seven vast floors and welcomes 15 million shoppers every year. The food hall is reasonably priced and a great place to grab some tasty treats, which you can eat under a tree in nearby Hyde Park.

Local Tips

The Tube is the fastest way to get around London. Buy an Oyster card when you arrive and you'll always pay the lowest fare on public transport. London buses no longer accept cash payments on board. For great views of London's Canary Wharf and the River Thames, catch the Tube out to North Greenwich and take a ride on the Emirates Air Line cable car. You can pay with Oyster card.
